It is an important part of keeping us safe and ensuring that we move correctly. Yoga helps to optimize proprioception by giving us the opportunity to practice staying upright, balanced, and safe in a variety of different positions. Whether we are moving quickly or slowly, all types of yoga can help improve proprioception.

The human nervous system is an incredible thing. It's made up of many different parts that all work together to keep us functioning properly. 

However, sometimes the nervous system can get out of balance. When this happens, it can lead to feeling anxious or stressed. 

Fortunately, there are a number of different techniques that can help to soothe the nervous system and bring it back into balance. 

One way to ease tension and move into a more relaxed state is to focus on your breath and let go of any thoughts that are causing stress. This will help engage your ventral vagal/parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for calming the body, aiding in digestion, and restoring balance.
