Avi Basuki

Avi Basuki

Lead Facilitator

Coming from a lineage of Javanese healers, Avi is offering vibrational therapy in Alam Farma’s serene healing space in Umalas, Bali. As a shamanic and yoga practitioner, she works with Color, Sound & Movement.

Most of this modern-day Dis-ease comes from an unbalanced relationship between our body, mind & spirit. Through vibrational therapy, we get in touch with the subtle bodies, acknowledging the imbalances in that space, to then slowly bring balance and wellness to the whole being through the use of soft elemental sounds, color therapy and sound acupuncture. If needed movement and/or yoga therapy will also be prescribed.

Avi is trained in Yoga through the Shri Vidya Lineage, she is also trained by the father of Vibrational Therapy, Fabien Maman as well as an ongoing student of Michael Harner’s Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She holds private yoga classes and yoga therapy consultations, as well as healing others through Sound, Color & Movement, online and in person in Bali.

Lala

Lala

Yoga Teacher

Lala began her yoga practice in 2015 in search of a way to lose weight. At the time she was working at a hostel that provided a variety of yoga classes. Choosing Ashtanga as her first class was challenging and overwhelming but didn’t scare her away, she came back for beginner classes to work her way back to Ashtanga. Before she knew it, this physical exercise became a gateway to meditation, chanting, and changing her diet and she began to wonder what was beyond the asana practice. Lala trained with the Peaceful Warriors in August 2017 and describes being a peaceful warrior as respecting that yoga has many different approaches, staying humble and keeping an open mind, challenging the limits but remaining at peace with whatever comes. Currently, she is teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Ashtanga in Canggu, Bali. In January 2020 Lala went to India to complete her 300hr Yoga Teacher Training to deepen her understanding and develop both her practice and teaching. Pranayama is Lala’s favourite practice to incorporate into her classes.

See what others are saying

Taking this course with Yoga for kids Bali has been one of the best decisions for me. I am extremely grateful to you for being there with me on this journey as my mentor. You have always been around and guided me every time I reached out to you. This gives me a lot of confidence to embark on this journey.

Pooja Java

Student

This process brought to light not only how I can teach yoga to kids, but it allowed me to see my own childhood for exactly what it was – and that is completely priceless. It is absolutely rewarding going through what Yoga for Kids Bali has to teach and the resources provided online are superb. You will never lack content or inspiration for your own classes. The enthusiasm that Jeanne, Avi and everyone involved with Yoga for Kids Bali has for building the next generation is beautiful to witness online and in person.

Liza Jones

Student

Jeanne Welsh is full of passion and experience and it shines through in her well-organised course that is filled with information and valuable resources. This course gives you the tools and knowledge to teach kids and teens yoga with confidence and mindfulness. Jeanne provides ready to use teaching resources that are so well done and ignite a number of lesson possibilities! I learned so much and am so inspired after this course. I enjoyed the layout of the course and the music module by Avi was a fantastic bonus! Highly recommend for any aspiring yoga teachers and school teachers that want to bring more mindfulness and movement into their classrooms.

Janet

Student

I liked the course very much. The online platform is very clear and the content is well structured. I have been able to acquire a lot of knowledge and find that it is just the right amount of knowledge in the different areas to have a clear understanding of yoga, child development and what is important in children’s yoga. I especially enjoyed the section on how stress acts in our bodies and what we can actively do about it. I am very happy to be able to acquire more knowledge in this area. It is also great that you can work on the course so flexibly. This makes it a lot easier to combine it with the other duties. Your quick feedback is also very helpful. YOU have great charisma and show how important the topic of Mindfulness for children is to you. That is very motivating. I also think it’s great that you show us how we can get into the business of children’s yoga and don’t see you as “competition”. That’s just great because I don’t know it, especially from other yoga courses or schools. I enjoyed the course immensely and I am grateful for your great support. I learned a lot and I am looking forward to using this knowledge soon to give children a stress-free future.

Vera

Student

I really loved the course material and how it was structured. I especially liked how you linked what we are doing with connection to neurology and neuropsychology (I‘m a psychology major). That was very interesting for me! I also really enjoyed the chair yoga part! And I especially appreciate the creative parts and inspiration in the training! The connection between art and yoga is something that I would like to work with more in the future.
