YOGA FOR KIDS – THE SUN SALUTATION POSES FOR KIDS

A brain-building yoga flow! Sun salutation yoga poses are a series of 12 poses that work your entire body. They’re a great way for beginners to learn yoga, and they’re perfect for kids because they’re fun and energizing. Plus, they’ll help improve flexibility and strength. So grab your mat and let’s get started.

Yoga to the rescue! For kids, yoga is more than just exercise. Kids who do yoga build up their gross motor skills that help with concentration and focus.

The Sun Salutation poses for kids sequence is usually followed in a flow. Sun Salutation A and B are also well-known variations that are typically taught in traditional Ashtanga classes. Since there are many different styles and versions of yoga, you’ll probably find lots of different versions of sun salutation yoga as you explore.

Let’s move! Moving our bodies is important for our health. Your child will be sitting at school all day, so I’ll tell you why the Sun Salutation benefits them, too.

This fun yoga sequence poses many benefits for the brain. It’s a type of exercise that can be done quickly and efficiently, and it’s fun. The systematic patterns of movement give the brain a much-needed break by organising it and keeping it from getting too busy.

 

2. Improved balance and coordination for Kids

If your child has better balance and coordination, they will have the ability to focus better. When a child automatically controls their balance and coordination, they can now focus on other things, as their brain is now free from thinking about not falling over.

 

3. Improved emotional regulation for Kids

Do you use sports or exercise to work off tension and frustrations? Your child is no different. When they have a bad day, giving them a physical outlet can help them get through it.
